Former England manager Graham Taylor positively purred when he talked about Ipswich starlet Kieron Dyer.

Watford boss Taylor admitted he was relieved to get the three points from an Ipswich side which dominated for the most part but still went down by a single goal at Vicarage Road.

Taylor said: "This boy Dyer is going to be a good player.

"He is 19 and you can't get near him.

"If he begins to progress and starts to play off his front people he will be even better.

"He barely touches the ground he covers it so well.

"We did well to get near him.

"And we had to respect that and had to play like an away team for most of the second half.

"They looked a better team, better players, in terms of their movement and their passing and we had to try and stop that and hope a chance would come.

"It was a good game to watch and I'm very pleased to pick up three points."

Richard Wright has just endured his worst week in football but is not looking back in anger.

After admitting responsibility for two goals which led to Town's last two defeats Wright knows things can only get better.

He said: "I can't think of a worse week as a player yet.

"But I'm not going to let it worry me.

"Other than the penalty I thought I played alright, I made a couple of saves so I'm not going to worry about it."

Wright took out Nick Wright for skipper Peter Kennedy to score from the spot after five minutes."

Richard Wright said: "It just bounced up at me and I couldn't hit it first time.

"It is one of those things.

"Maybe I should have then just let him take the ball away and deal with it but I went after it and caught him."

Burley said: "It was an awkward ball to deal with and maybe he should have let a defender deal with it after he couldn't control it.

"He could not have hit it first time, it bobbled up awkwardly, then he ran out and gave the penalty away.

"But he then went on to make a couple of good saves.

"He is the best young keeper in the country, He is a tremendous character and we owe a lot to him.

"We all make mistakes and as a keeper is stands out more but he will get on with things."

"Matt hit the post David Johnson was unlucky, Manuel Thetis had one off the line and their keeper stood up well.

"Really we dominated, should have had the three points and ended up with nothing, which is very disappointing."
