A three-day healing crusade by worldwide evangelist Rev Melvin Banks will be held next month in Tiptree.

People are expected to flock to see the Rev Banks who is claimed to have helped the blind to see and the lame to walk, at the event organised by The King's Centre Church.

Pastor John Wood said: "We are privileged to be able to have the Rev Banks with us for these special services.

"Although in great demand, he is willing to come and lead this three-day crusade and we are very much looking forward to it.

''I expect that many in the area will take the opportunity of meeting someone who is a channel through whom God's power has been able to flow into many lives and because of the likely demand and the catering involved, we are inviting people to phone and reserve free seats."

The event starts on October 24 at Barnards School, Townsend Road, with a harvest supper at 6.30pm.

On Sunday there is an all age family worship service at 10.30am and in the evening the Rev Banks will host a Sunday tea and celebration. The crusade will climax on Monday evening at 7.30pm when Rev Banks will pray and minister.

Rev Banks has conducted crusades for over 30 years. Although he openly admits he cannot guarantee healing, he claims many are helped and comforted through the power of prayer.
