The Harwich School could be linking up with a new sixth form college in Sweden.
Teachers Alan Perks and Kate Fender were special guests at the opening of the Donner College on the Swedish island of Gotland.
One of the main aims of the visit was to investigate a possible exchange programme between the two schools.
Mr Perks said one of the aspects which the Swedish school is keen to promote within the exchange programme is a work experience scheme.
