Billericay youngsters were part of the area tennis team which finished runners-up in the recent Essex Games held at the New Hall School in Boreham.
The team was managed by the Billericay tennis coach Graham Lister. Vicky Simpson, Carla Bell and James Fordham, all members of the Billericay club, were in the team. Another club member Clare Lewis was the reserve.
The event was organised by the Essex County Council with help from the Essex County LTA and was sponsored by British Airports Authority Stansted.
It is hoped that the event will form part of the planned Millennium Games to be held in 2000.
