A couple whose holiday romance blossomed into true love after the Evening Echo reunited them are to tie the knot tomorrow.

Dawn Rowsell and James Manners will enjoy a spectacular white wedding at St Peter's Church in Nevendon.

The pair, who live together in Beambridge, Basildon, met while on holiday on the sunny Spanish isle of Tenerife.

They really hit it off but disaster struck on the last night of James' week-long break in June last year.

The 26-year-old insurance broker fell fast asleep on the beach and missed his chance to swop addresses with Dawn, 28, before she went home.

In desperation he contacted the Echo, knowing that Dawn lived and worked as a catering manager in Basildon.

Luckily her workmates saw the article and Dawn was able to contact James. He immediately flew down from his home in Scotland to see her.

In November he got down on one knee to propose.

Now they will take the final step in their fairytale romance and marry tomorrow at 1.30pm.

Dawn said: "It's so lucky that my workmates saw the story about James looking for me as none of this would have happened otherwise."

Cheers to the Echo - Dawn and James drink to their reunion.
