Nine anglers fished from four boats out of Felixstowe on Sunday in the Braintree Angling Club's third boat match of the season.
Two boats fished the Washington Buoy while the other two fished just off Bawdsey.
Conditions were fair but a choppy sea made it uncomfortable at times.
In first place, fishing from Lady Vee, was Les Fitch with 25lb 12oz -- eight Codling, four Whiting. Mick Allen was second fishing from Tiger one 24lb 3oz -- nine Codling, two Whiting. Dave Bird took third place aboard Glaive with 19lb 1oz -- seven Codling, two Whiting.
The next club match is an 'all nighter', (December 5 and 6), fishing the second leg of the Mick Allen Shield.
Names will be taken at the next club meeting which is on Tuesday, December 1 at the Nags Head, 8pm.
