Police in the Southend division have mounted a series of raids on homes in the area.
An Essex Police spokesman said several houses were searched on Saturday, and various items were seized and are awaiting examination.
A total of six people were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the distribution of crack cocaine.
The four men and two women have been taken into custody, and are helping police with their inquiries.
