Another of Ipswich Town's exciting crop of youngsters is about to get a taste of the big time.

Titus Bramble, at 17, is set to make his debut for Ipswich Town in their vital Nationwide Division One clash at Sheffield United, on Sunday.

And 16-year-old Richard Logan could make it three teenagers in the line-up which already includes 19-year-old Kieron Dyer, as Town struggle with injuries and suspensions.

Bramble and Logan played in Town's Times FA Youth Cup third round 1-0 win at Cambridge United on Wednesday night.

Providing neither has picked up an injury both will be in the squad for Sunday.

Bramble has been training with the first team as a centre back this week and could be pitched in to replace the suspended Manuel Thetis or Mark Venus.

England schoolboy Logan was on the bench during the 2-0 defeat against Barnsley and could get his chance now James Scowcroft and David Johnson are injured, though Richard Naylor and Samassi Abou will start.

Blues boss George Burley said: "It may be that we have to use the kids but we don't want to push them too much.

"If they are selected they will be told to go out and enjoy themselves and do the best they can."

Wayne Brown, who was on loan at Colchester United last season is also a possibility.

Versatile Adam Tanner can be used as a right back, centre half or midfielder.

Scowcroft broke his collar bone in two places but does not need surgery and should be back in six weeks.

David Johnson maybe back a week earlier than predicted after his knee operation.

Town had pencilled in the FA Cup trip to Tranmere for his return in January but now hope he will be fit to meet Portsmouth at home on Boxing Day or away to Wolves on the following Monday.
