A 72-year-old man who went missing from a Southend care home has turned up safe and well in London.
Gerald Matthews had gone missing from a care home in Avenue Road, Southend, on Monday evening.
According to an Essex Police spokesman this morning Mr Matthews has been found safe and well in Central Middlesex Hospital in London.
He is unhurt but had been taken to the hospital after being found lost and confused in the capital.
