Three people have been arrested in connection with the police investigation into the death of Omar Locke.
An Essex Police spokesman said a 24-year-old man and two women, aged 20 and 19, all from the Basildon area, had been arrested.
On Friday the three people were being interviewed at two separate police stations in the county.
Officers renewed their appeal for witnesses to the events surrounding Mr Locke's death, and for help in tracing a weapon, a wide-bladed knife.
Omar Locke, 26, of Tottenham in north London, died in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
