A fitness fanatic is to take on a gruelling 12-mile assault course - in aid of a charity set up to help severely burnt children.
Rob Kleinberg, 24, of Lord Roberts Avenue, Leigh, travels to Wolverhampton at the end of the month for the challenge, which involves swimming, running, climbing and taking on the Royal Marine's assault course.
He is hoping to raise around £1,500 for the Burned Children's Club, which annually takes around 40 children from all over the country to a summer camp for a week.
Rob, who works for the Abbey National in Billericay, heard of the charity through the nearby Billericay Burns Unit, which has recently moved to Chelmsford.
He said he had been training in earnest since September, adding: "I've been involved in charity work since college and I like the physical stuff - I wanted something that was a real challenge."
The Abbey National has already pledged £500 towards the fund - and Rob has set up a special bank account with his employers for people to pay money direct to it.
