Following a draw between the two teams on their first Essex League Premier Division outing earlier this season, Chelmsford had a score to settle against visitors Havering and, despite a sluggish start, Chelmsford dominated throughout.
From a short corner, Gail Forster thumped the ball with ferocity to Vicky Hutley on the near post, and Hutley deftly turned full circle before sliding the ball past the Havering goalkeeper.
From the restart, Chelmsford fell into the now familiar pattern of exciting, entertaining hockey, and a cross from the right found Elsa Corr who netted Chelmsford's second goal.
Caroline Hill, who ended her scoring drought the previous week, continued in the same vein last Saturday with another two. while Sarah Wilcox turned in another impressive performance, mixing a maturity in defence with an adventurous instinct to press forward.
Following the win, Chelmsford remain on top of the league.
