An elderly pedestrian involved in a road accident in Kirby Cross has lost her fight for life.
Doris Gunning-Stevenson, 89, of the The Meers, Kirby Cross, was involved in a collision with a red BMW in her home village on January 21.
The accident happened at around 9.45am in Frinton Road and traffic police are appealing for anyone who saw the collision to come forward and speak to them.
The pensioner was taken to Colchester General Hospital following the accident but died there on Sunday as a result of her injuries.
