A robber stole £75 from a pizza delivery man who was returning to a Harlow restaurant after dropping off some food.
An Essex Police spokesman said the 20-year-old Pizza Hut employee was robbed just after he had parked his bike in the town's Eastgate centre at about 10.30pm last night.
A man approached him from behind and held a sharp implement to his neck. He escaped on foot with £75.
The suspect has been described as about 6ft tall, of slim build, and was wearing dark clothing and a dark green balaclava.
