Billericay stretched their winning run to 20 matches with a comprehensive victory over second in the table Old Cooperians and it also saw them pass their 600th league point of the season.

Without skipper Paul Daly, being rested before next Saturday's home quarter final Tetley Vase match against St Just, Billericay started well and took the lead after just five minutes with a Harman penalty.

Within two minutes they had increased their lead further when winger Mike Coxford chipped the ball ahead with full back John Stevens racing through to score.

With the forwards constantly winning good ball it was surprising that the Willowbrook side did not increase their lead until the 25th minute with a Harman drop goal as Billericay led 11-0. a lead they took into the interval.

Billericay started the second half well and scored after four minutes of the restart when Andy Collings found a gap to run through and score and he repeated the feat soon afterwards with the second try.

Only the last gasp tackling from Old Coopers and handling errors failed to increase the scoring until the last 10 minutes when Billericay ran in two tries, firstly with Steve Clow scoring in the corner.

John Stevens then scored his second try and with Andy Collings converting, Billericay ran out comfortable 33-0 victors.

This Saturday sees Billericay entertain St Just from Cornwall in the quarter finals of the Tetley Vase at Willowbrook (k.o 2.15pm).
