The Queen may visit Southend seafront when she comes to town.
Councillors were upset when the royal visit, scheduled for March 12, omitted a tour of the Golden Mile, but a spokesman for Buckingham Palace said no final decision has been made.
A spokesman said: "We have not yet decided how we will get from Southend to Basildon. It may well be that they drive along the seafront."
