Nine players who helped Colchester United win promotion last season and kept them up this year, have been released.
Paul Abrahams, Joe Dunne, Simon Betts, Scott Stamps, Tony Lock, Tony Adcock, David Rainsford, Tamer Fernandes and Nicky Haydon, have all be told they are not needed anymore.
The other players are already on contract or will negotiate a new deal.
