Claire Raft, of Lancaster Road, Rayleigh, knew what she would do - dash off to Italy and spend the day living the life of a movie star.
The 18-year-old, who works in a nursing home, had her dream come true after winning a competition in More! magazine.
She had to say what she would do if she could spend £5,000 in just 24 hours.
Claire had never been abroad before so she took her friend Cheryl to Rome where they were whisked off to a top hairdressers and then taken to the Trevi fountain to meet two Italian men who serenaded them.
They were driven to the Coliseum in a Ferrari, had a tour of the city in a private jet, followed by shopping and then dinner at a top restaurant.
Claire said: "I had a brilliant time. We both had our hair done and had make overs and the men who serenaded us were gorgeous."
