Conquest lived up to their name when they won the Southend and District netball league division one cup final.

They were up against Hockley Kestrels who matched Conquest goal for goal in the early stages of the game.

However, Conquest stepped up a gear as the game wore on to win 52-47 and maintain their unbeaten record this season.

There was some consolation for the Kestrels as Jayne Cooper, playing goal defence, was picked as the player of the match.

In the division two cup final Videos Direct led throughout the game, although at times Kingswood came close to evening the score.

The final score was 51-39 to Videos Direct with the team's wing defence, Stephanie Dawson, being named player of the match.

Parkside beat Blades 47-40 to clinch the division three cup final after a fairly even match. The player of the match title went to Parkside's wing defence Stephanie Dawson.

Trinity Ladies only joined the league this year and did well to get through to the division four cup final.

However, they could not top their season off with a trophy after losing 24-59 to Canvey Maroon.

Canvey's goal defence Viv Gillen was named player of the match and she saw her team maintain their 100 per cent record of wins with victory in the cup final.
