The son of a former Harwich mayor has been found dead at his home.
David Brand, 38, of King George's Avenue, Dovercourt, was found by his wife Michelle just before midday on Monday, a police spokesman said.
The father-of-two was the son of town and district councillor and former mayor Ernie Brand and brother of town and district councillor Peter.
The coroner has been informed and an inquest will be held at a later date.
