Tennis legend Roy Emerson will top the bill at Frinton Tennis Club's annual exhibition event in July.

Emerson, who holds the record for Grand Slam singles wins with 12, will appear as part of the Dudley Stationery veterans tournament.

He will be joined by doubles players Peter MacNamara and Paul McNamee plus Frinton favourite Vijay Amritraj.

Former Wimbledon ladies' finalist Hana Mandlikova will also appear along with Gigi Fernandez.

Hundreds of veterans from all over the world will be flying in for the international veterans tournament.

It's a highlight in the club's year and hot on its heels is the Ladies satellite and Girobank tournaments.

There are also two days in May when you can try out the facilities at the club. There will be coaching available and an aerobics demonstration too.

The club which has nearly 700 members also boasts squash courts and swimming pool besides its prized tennis courts.

Open days: May 22 and 29.

Veterans Tournament: July 5-10

Ladies tournament: July 12-17.
