Glory-seeking Tiptree aim to end their season on a high by winning the Eastern Floodlight Cup tonight.

The Jam-makers were pipped to promotion in Jewson Division One, but victory over Leyton Pennant tonight, kick-off 7.45pm at Chapel Road, would help erase some of that disappointment.

Boss Keith Newman believes his side should have something to show from a generally successful season.

"I think we deserve it. Everyone at the club has worked hard, so it would be nice if we could finish on a high.

"The main thing is getting people to support us to give us a chance."

Pennant, the Ryman League Division One side described as "top opposition" by Newman, finished in mid-table. He added: "We haven't played to the best of our ability for a while, but we've got one more chance.

"If anyone out there is not up for this one, they shouldn't be playing."

Apart from Peter Emerick (cup tied), Tiptree will be at full strength.
