Great Baddow entertained Stock who totalled 191 for six, Stuart Pinkerton leading the way with 72 not out and Joe Olivelle taking two for 20 in a fine 12 over spell which included six maidens.

Baddow lost wickets at crucial times and finally slumped to 119 all out. Richard Wyatt top scored with 29 while Phil Mellon returned five for 30 from 12 overs.

Aythorpe Roding comfortably contained South Woodham Ferrers at Round Bush Green, and ran out eventual eight wicket victors.

Matt Bridger top scored with 25 as Woodham managed just 87 for nine, Liam Rosewell (3-32) and Neil Culleton (4-17) doing the main damage.

Steve Dove-Dixon (54 not out) led the reply as Aythorpe made 88 for two to record an eight wicket win.

In a game restricted to 31 overs a side at Bentley, Tillingham made 178 for one, Tim Blake (72 not out) and Jimmy Chapman (67 not out) leading the way.

Ian Gray (52 n.o) held the reply together as Bentley ran out winners by four wickets, reaching 179 for six despite Robbie Dennis' good return of four for 44.

Little Waltham bowled visitors Hatfield Peverel out for 116, Phil Arnold (5-32) and Dave Parry 3-18) doing the damage while Kirkpatrick (50) prevented an even worse day for Peverel.

Waltham's reply ended in the 24th over as they reached 119 for two, Paul Milburn scoring an unbeaten 64 and Phil Baxter contributed 37 not out.

There was lots of excitement at Springfield where the home side were cruising well at 110 for one against Great Waltham when rain stopped play.

With the overs reduced to 38, Springfield made their way to 199 for five, with Symonds (72) and Lightfoot (51) the main contributors while Chapman (12-4-25-3) was the pick of the Waltham bowlers.

Waltham also had a good start and were 110 without loss, before a tight finish saw them finish on 196 for eight, just three runs short.

Bloom made 53, Reeve 56 and Neil Harman 45 not out an end that put the visitors close, but not close enough. Scott Ellis claimed five for 52.
