The outstanding footballing youngsters at Colchester Sixth Form College have won another top trophy.

Simon Fusniak's charges beat bitter rivals Palmer's Sixth Form College 4-2 to retain the Essex Schools' under-19 Cup.

Martin Webb hit the first and fourth goal with Greg Felgate and Colin Henderson netting within three minutes of the second half starting. Keith Martin got consolation goals for the south Essex outfit.

Colchester's Sixth Form have been at the forefront of Essex schools' football for some time.

They are previous winners of the British Colleges' Cup and under Fusniak they have won the Essex Schools' title twice and been runners up in the English Schools' FA Cup final.

Ipswich Town manager George Burley presented the cup and medals, including a winning gong for son Stuart.

Fusniak said: "This was a great win for us. It is recognition for the college and the fine youth of Colchester."
