The Three Rivers Golf Club Ladies Bronze team played at Harwich & Dovercourt on Friday and despite good wins from Julia Billing, Pat Midgley and Dot Curtis, they eventually lost by the narrow margin of 4-3.
The final of the Argos Shield Mixed was won by Carol Birch & John Dawson 4-2. The runners-up were Rita Pearcey & Vic Nicolson.
The Pat & Alan Wood Mixed resulted in three pairs with a score of 33 points.
On count-back the winners were Dave Billing & Sue Scott, runners-up Denise Irving and E. Wright and in third place Sylvia Romain & G. Wright.
The Ladies Guest Day was played last week and although the weather could have been kinder the event was well supported.
The successful pair with 41 points were Gwyneth Griffiths and Eileen Bolton.
In second place on count-back was Carol Birch and Sue Kaye with 39 points and the third place Pat Fletcher and Janis Hardin.
