Belfairs Ladies Guest Day saw visiting captains Maureen Rowson (Rochford) and Barbara Ridgewell (Thorpe Hall) win on 53 points in the aggregate competition.

Jackie Dowding and Louise Bryan were runners-up on 51.

Barbara Lee and Gloria Goldring took the morning prize on 37 points. Afternoon winners over eight holes, with 17 points, were June Woollard and Jane Moon. Harman conquers

Jeff Harman was in devastating form at the Hanover Regency medal, taking division two by seven strokes.

Playing off 19, Harman shot gross 67 for a net 13 under par. Craig Harbrow was runner-up on countback.

Division one scoring saw Danny Worrow (13) beating Mike Watson (14) on countback. Both had net 57s.

Regency Ladies won their first Bronze Shield match, beating Castle Point 5-2.

The ladies' winter singles went to Jackie Wilkinson and Leila Hodgson took the plate. Judy Needham won the doubles after being runners-up for the last two years. Keith's trophy delight

Basildon's annual Piccadilly Bogey Trophy was won by Keith Etherington on plus six. He had a brilliant front nine with five birdies to be five up at the turn. Colin Carlile was runner-up.

In the medal, Harry Atkins had the best net score, a 66, which saw him win Division Three and also the Ford Trophy, held in conjunction.

T Porter (12) took Division One on 69 from T Meehan (11) on 72. P Wrayton (13) beat G Edwards (13) on countback for Division Two. Both had 72s.

Basildon Ladies had a disappointing County Bronze run, but the A team won 4-1 against Harefield Place in the public courses Whitewebbs Trophy. The B squad lost 3-2 at Cheshunt.

Castle Point beat Basildon 3.5-1.5 in the Hawtree Mixed Greensomes Trophy. Coro-nation Foursomes winners were Josie Wilby and Denise Woolley, who had an impressive 69 net to beat Margaret O'Leary and Eileen Prender-gast (72).

Castle Point lost by seven strokes to Belhus Park in their Clapham Common Shield match. Mark Mountney (7) won the midweek medal on 66 from Danny Whitworeth (9) on countback.
