Braintree Town have signed former Chelmsford City and Sudbury Town striker Ian Brown, who has followed his former manager Richie Powling to Cressing Road from Cambridge City.
The Iron have also signed Nicky Rust who has also moved from Milton Road, but leaving is top goal scorer Gary Bennett who has moved to the newly formed AFC Sudbury - the amalgamation of Sudbury Town and Sudbury Wanderers, who will play in the Jewson League.
Bennett, who had also been considering a move to Chelmsford City to replace Ian Cambridge, has linked up again with AFC Sudbury's manager Keith Martin, who previously had a spell in charge at Cressing Road.
Colchester-based Bennett has been Iron's top scorer in recent seasons, although a troublesome groin injury kept him for a great deal of last season, yet he still managed to score 23 goals.
In the previous season he scored over 50 goals and is currently the second all-time top scorer
