Bank managers and executives at NatWest are being forced to give up their company cars, it has been announced.
More than 4,500 managers have been told they must hand back their paid-for vehicles in a move which could spell the beginning of the end for the perk as other companies follow NatWest's lead following the March Budget.
The bank is to offer lease or cash options instead. Banking union UNIFI, said: "Many managers depend on their company car and are pretty upset."
