Channels Golf Club in Little Waltham played host to the Alexander Forbes Corporate Golf Day on Thursday.
Pictured right with James Houlder, the Managing Director of Alex Forbes Special Risks, and his guests, are two members of the 1966 England World Cup winning side, Gordon Banks and Roger Hurt.
Banks, who played in goal in the memorable 4-2 World Cup final win over West Germany, and Hunt, who, as did Banks, played in every match in the 1966 tournament, achieved.creditable scores, playing off handicaps of 17 and 10 respectively.
However, it was not enough to compete with the eventual winner, Mike Collins, who scored 42 points with a handicap of 13.
The day was concluded with a dinner and prizegiving in Channels' 18th century thatched function suite with Gordon Banks relating some great football stories while presenting the prizes.
