Around 500 people were evacuated from popular Southend nightspot the Baker's Bar when a fire broke out in a ventilation system on Saturday.
The late-night fire was the second in three days and firemen said engineers had been called to thoroughly examine the system.
Customers were evacuated from the first floor and the basement bar as smoke spread throughout the system.
