The distinctive sound of clog dancing echoed around Southend when the town's own troupe was joined by one from Sweden.
Southend's aptly named Cockleshell Clog had invited Vissefjarda Folkdanslag to join them during the 8th Annual Southend Jazz Festival.
The 45-strong troupe performed traditional Swedish folk dances in bright and colourful regional costumes, accompanied by their own large band.
Cockleshell Clog displayed their own brand of cheerful and boisterous dancing, bringing a smile to the face of many shopper and day tripper.
The two groups performed in the Royals, the High Street and at the end of the pier as well as meeting mayor Tony North at the pier train station.
