Are you aged 19 or under? Do you play rugby at school or college? If the answer to both of these questions is yes then Westcliff RFC want to hear from you.

The Aviation Way club have reformed their Colts XV and now have a full fixture list. With such a busy schedule ahead of them the club are desperate to recruit more players to boost their ranks.

Club spokesman Geoff Sawyer said: "In the past we have had a very successful Colts side and we won the Essex Cup a few season's ago.

"Last season we did not have the structure in place to run a side - the lads simply had to grab games where they could.

"Now that structure is in place our coach, Don Faulkner, has said that the Colts will now train with the senior squad on Tuesday and Thursday evenings."

Faulkner added: "The Colts are a vital part of this club. They will be the senior players here at Westcliff in years to come and we need to look after them now."

"Some of our players who are now Colts played for the county and a few went on to represent Eastern Counties - one even played for England at under-16 level," he said.

The club endeavors to support and coach all players to the best of their ability and will always push as many as possible into the county trials.

Any prospective Colts are asked to contact the team manager at Westcliff, Paul Charman, on 01702 341319 or telephone the clubhouse on 01702 541499.
