Great Baddow Men's Bowls Club were celebrating this week, when, for the first time in the club's history, they won the Division One title of the Chelmsford & District League.
The squad's Captain, Peter Brett, said: "I was delighted with their performance."
He added "This followed on from last year's win in the Atkinson Shield competition, and showed that the standard of bowling at Great Baddow was very high."
Not to be outdone, a ladies four of Sheila Brickell, Jean Wyatt, Gwen Richardson and skip Marion Bond were trophy winners at the Marconi Ladies Captain Gala Day, winning all but one of their matches.
