A primary school is to reopen to youngsters two days late - because of delays in an £80,000 heating refit.
Pupils at Vange County Primary School, in London Road, Vange, can look forward to a couple of extra days on their summer break.
Instead of returning to the classroom tomorrow as planned, parents are asked to bring their children back to school on Thursday, September 9, at the usual time.
Workers have been in the school throughout the summer break stripping the old boiler and heating system and replacing it.
After running into a number of problems, the work will not be completed before the planned start of term.
The replacement of the old radiators and boilers came courtesy of an £80,000 grant from the Government.
