A man has lost his fight for life eight days after a road accident in Southend.
Paul Cascarino, 33, of Philpott Avenue, Southend, died on Friday in the Royal National Hospital, London.
Police have renewed their appeal for witnesses to the accident in Southchurch Road, Southend, near the junction with Lifstan Way at 6pm on Friday August 27.
Mr Cascarino was crossing the road when he was involved in an accident with a Toyota van driven by Andrew Forbes, 33, of Southchurch Road.
