Colchester Harrier Paul McHugh was first across the line in the open five-kilometre race around Maldon's Promenade Park.
The event, organised to raise funds for the town's SWANS charity, also included a race over one kilometre for under 15s and a wheelchair race.
McHugh completed the course in 16 minutes 29 seconds with John Brain second in 16.39 and Keith Marley third in 17.27. The team prize was won by Witham Running Club.
Leader of Maldon District Council Julia Peel presented the prizes.
