Colchester United's 1-0 win at promotion-chasing Wigan has been voted as the Performance of the Week by the Managers' Association of the Football League.
The U's tremendous success at the JJB Stadium eclipsed Newcastle's 3-0 win over Premiership leaders Manchester United and Liverpool's 1-0 victory at Arsenal.
Wigan, one of the big favourites to win promotion to Division One in May, had lost only one previous League match all season.
U's boss Steve Whitton and his players are to be rewarded by the presentation of a trophy by Sky TV at training tomorrow afternoon.
Meanwhile, the U's reserves won their latest Avon Insurance Combination game beating Barnet 1-0 yesterday afternoon with a Tony Lock goal in a game played at Essex University.
