Great Wakering Rovers enjoyed a fine 4-1 win over Central Section leaders Tiptree United.

But the result left United six points clear at the top after second-placed Chelmsford City went down 5-1 away to Harlow Town in the (Seatex Design) Eastern Junior Alliance.

Southend Manor had a 3-1 home win over Canvey-based Concord Rangers in the only Eastern Section game to beat the weather.

Runwell Hospital's run in the under-16 League Cup came to an end when they were beaten 5-1 at home to Somersett/Ambury VE in the semi-final.

Great Wakering's South-ern Section U16 match against Southend Manor was a victim of the rain, while Hullbridge Sports drew 2-2 at Burnham Ramblers in the Northern Section U16.
