DIVISION ONE CUP SEMI-FINALS

Little Waltham worked their socks off to beat hosts and cup favourites Heybridge Social, who were rocked by an early injury to Gary Gore.

Chris Heasman's header put Social in front, and Danny Barber converted a penalty only for referee Rex Orrin to order its retake due to an encroachment.

Barber's second effort was well saved by Waltham's stand in goalkeeper Dennis Allen.

Kevin Nicholas equalised just before half time and a scrambled own goal after the break put Waltham ahead.

Neither side really looked like scoring again, and Waltham's determined and disciplined display paid them the ultimate dividends.

Waltham will face Woodham Town in the final at Heybridge Swifts Football Club, after Simon Arnold and Tony Cornwell goals helped Woodham to a 2-0 win over Coggeshall Town .

DIVISION ONE CUP SEMI-FINAL

Woodham Radars started the season slowly though they have recovered their form of late, but it was still something of a surprise to see them defeat Beaulieu Sports 3-1, and they will meet Brookhouse in the final.

DIVISION TWO CUP SEMI-FINAL

Springfield will meet Writtle Reserves in the final, after Lowden, Free and Fuller goals saw them ease past Cherry Tree Sports Reserves 3-1.

DIVISION THREE

A 4-1 win for Priory Sports Reserves at Broomfield Reserves maintains Sports' title push.

Hot on Priory's heels are Fyfield Lion Reserves who also won 4-1, Old Chelmsfordians Reserves being on the receiving end of Matt Keeling (3) and Gary Minns goals.

Cherry Tree Sports 'A' were at Highfield Victoria and took the lead via John Button's goal, but Tree equalised before the break and that was the end of the scoring.
