Famous book characters were bought to life at a Canvey school when pupils dressed up as their favourite fictional friend.
Youngsters at Northwick Park Infant School took part in the dressing up day to mark the end of the school's book week.
A host of different activities took place at the Third Avenue school during the week to promote reading throughout the years.
The Barking Dog Theatre Group performed Teddy's Day Out for the nursery children and Barney the Bookworm for years one and two.
Some of the youngsters took a trip to Canvey library and Terry the Magician entertained the whole school to round off an enjoyable week.
