A young England football fan had the best day of his life thanks to his creative flair, but it wasn't on the pitch.
Colchester schoolboy Simon Lemon, 13, spent Monday at the England football team's training camp at Bisham Abbey prior to tonight's friendly against Argentina.
He won his day out at Bisham Abbey after winning a contest in Match football magazine to design a logo for the England Members' Club anti-violence campaign.
Simon, a pupil at Colchester's Gilberd School, designed the winning logo including the phrase Football Yes Violence No, the flag of St George and the England badge.
He said: "It was the best day of my life. I met all the players. David Beckham asked me what I had done to win a day at the training session.
"And Alan Shearer and Gary Neville spoke to me, as well as the rest of the players."
But Simon saved his biggest praise for the England manager Kevein Keegan, who presented him with an autographed England shirt.
"He was messing around all day and was very funny. He made me feel very welcome."
Simon will also see England play Argentina at Wembley tonight because the prize included tickets to the game.
