A police helicopter was used during a police operation in the Billericay area on Tuesday.
Police were following a car in the Potash Road area of Billericay, but lost the vehicle as it headed towards the town centre. Officers alerted the police's air support unit which was able to track the vehicle making its way towards Ingatestone.
With the help of information from the air support unit, officers on the ground were able to stop the car, and later pursued its occupants across a field before making an arrest.
A man and a woman are now helping police with their inquiries.
