Danny Hunt made it two in a row when he won his second pro fight on Monday night.
The Eastwood boxer defeated Birmingham's David Hinds on a unanimous points decision after four rounds at Bethnal Green's York Hall.
"I boxed his head off," said the 18-year-old who knew he could not out fight his stocky Midlands opponent and would have to use his boxing skills to get a win.
"I kept relaxed throughout the fight and outboxed him, which was my plan all along."
"I got lots of support from the Southend area and it gave me a big lift when I got a big cheer as I entered the ring."
And the super-featherweight admitted he has his sights on further glory after seeing the belt worn by Mike Holden after his British heavyweight title fight victory over Julius Francis.
"I would like to get my hands on one of those belts," added Danny, whose next fight is scheduled for April 7 in London.
