Hard-working sports coaches from all over the county are to be given a special thank-you, at a ceremony to mark their achievements.
Essex County Council chairman Mrs Joan Beard and Essex FM sports presenter Roger Buxton will be at County Hall on Friday, April 14 between 7.30pm and 9.30pm to hand out awards to coaches whose achievements over the years have led to many talented youngsters in Essex excelling at their sport.
The awards cover a range of categories and the winners cover coaching individuals and teams, junior competitors and coaches who have made outstanding contributions to their sport.
They are organised by Essex County Council, and winners will receive a commemorative certificate, £200 towards coach education courses and/or resource materials, and an individual subscription to the National Coaching Foundation for a year.
