Four members of Wickford's Carousel Gym Club passed with distinction when they tackled the under-10 county grade six qualifiers at Colchester.
Seven-year-old Kelsey Foot, competing for the first time, made a tremendous start on beam to score 9.575.
She then got the third highest floor total and was second on range and conditioning. A first place on bars with 9.575 tied her for the title and gold medal and she also won through to the regional finals in May.
Madison Buckman, nine, was also in good form with the highest vault score of 9.40. She was second on floor and third on beam with 9.55 to take bronze and join Kelsey at the regional finals.
Chloe Morton, seventh overall, was equal second on bars (9.50) and third on vault (9.10). Felicity Clarke was one place further back, having tied Chloe for second place on bars.
