Hullbridge Sports 2nd are through to the semi-finals of the Southend Sunday League Section B Cup.

Goals from L Slatford and G Townsend gave them a 2-1 win over Fairfax United.

In the Premier Division, Rayleigh Town's scorers in the 4-2 win at CZ 81 were Edwards, Caplin, Purvis and Sims. S Forbes grabbed two for Canewdon in their 4-0 win over Old Southendian in Division One.

Mahoney and Heaver were both brace stars as Shoebury OB won 6-0 at Trinity 2nd in the Second Division. Wadeson's hat-trick, plus a Smith double, helped Wadham Park Ran-gers win 5-1 at Spartek 2nd.

There were two six-shooting teams in Division Four. Bellvue Wanderers crushed Woodland Old Boys 6-3 with Stringer scoring a hat-trick and Hume's trio helped Sporting Benfleet home 6-0 at Blenheim Wanderers.

Division Five team of the day were Leigh Ramblers, who beat Fram 4-0 in their top of the table clash. K Smith, M Smith, Karaiskos and M Pullum got the goals.

Lewis was another goal treble hero. He got his haul for Borough Rovers in a 4-2 win at Fairway Eagles.

Sweetingham was in credit with a hat-trick for Royal Bank of Scotland in Division Seven. His side saw off Kings Field Casuals 5-3.

Progress United won 4-2 at Carlyle Sports 2nd in Division Eight and Chateau made it a bad day for home teams in this section when they triumphed 2-0 at Tyne Old Boys with R Tiller and C Allison scoring.
