Musicians from Thundersley Brass Band are busy practising for a prestigious competition.
The band, which rehearses in the music room at the King John School in Shipwrights Drive, every Thursday, will be travelling to Stevenage on Sunday to take part in the regional qualifying contest for the National Brass Band Championship.
The band, which is made up of men and women of all ages, have been fitting in extra rehearsals for the competition.
Musical director Keith Nice has called for an all out effort from all band members.
He said: "Only the best will do."
