Leopards coach Bob Donewald believes that the Brentwood-based Adidas London Leopards can win some silverware next season.

The prediction came as Donewald and Leopards owner Ed Simons held a question and answer session with fans after his team's Birmingham game on Sunday.

Coach Donewald answered a range of questions commenting on the League and the team's performance.

He said that he was proud of the way the team are now playing, while admitting that he did not like having a losing record.

Many fans felt that the club had been harshly treated by referees in recent games.

Donewald argued that once we start to win games the team will receive more favourable treatment from officials, but one has to precede the other.

Ed Simons pointed out that it had been a momentous season with the club redefining itself, changing coach and adopting Brentwood as its home.

He asked that the fans "judge us over the distance not just over the first furlong". We stressed that as owner he wanted a winning franchise.

To this end Donewald indicated that he was currently in negotiations with most of the current squad to persuade them to return next season.

He said that there was not an excellent chemistry among the players after the many changes that occurred early in the year.

He added: "Next year you will see us roll" indeed he optimistically predicted that silverware would be coming to Brentwood, if the squad could be kept together.

Simons explained to fans that there were plans to improve both the quantity and quality of the seating at the Centre.

Within the next two years he hoped the arena would expand to seat 2,900 with seats being at ground level.

Donewald revealed that he hoped to take the team on a pre-season tour in August/September probably to play against American college opposition.
