Masked robbers burst into a late-night store and forced staff to hand over cash.
The raiders went into Weavers Fresh Foods, Sible Hedingham, at 9.55pm on Thursday night and demanded money after telling the two staff to get on the floor.
The men, wearing balaclavas, emptied the till and then ordered shop assistant Claire Lipton to the back of the store where they tried to get into the safe.
The safecracking bid failed and they fled with just £105.
Police are keen to trace a man who left the store just before the robbery took place. He is in his 30s and wore a baseball cap and dark trousers.
