Southendians' girls completed their League season in celebration style with a comprehensive win - and by throwing manager Andy Martin in the local duck pond.
Having already confirmed fourth place in the table, Southendians set out to enjoy the day and started briskly with Jo Jones netting after seven minutes with a deftly placed header.
Symonds Green clawed a surprise goal back after 12 minutes, but Hayley Bowden soon put Southendians back in front when her cross deceived the Symonda Green keeper and bounced into the net.
Julie Clarke's unstoppable 35-yard free-kick after 25 minutes made it 3-1.
Southendians carried on in the same vein after the break and Vicky Miller, one of three new signings given a runout, drove home from 18 yards to make it 4-1.
Jo Jones then converted a Hayley Bowden cross to make it 5-1 with her second after 59 minutes and Debbie Hole closed the League campaign in style with number six - another long distance scorcher.
